Gen Z has given a new meaning to workplace culture, bringing their own vibes into the office. While some embrace it, others don’t. People on social media
and beyond are heavily divided on the trend. Gen Z has even developed their own style of “email writing,” which some find refreshing while others dismiss as “too informal.” Against this backdrop, a video is going viral in which a woman shared how she received an email from a Gen Z colleague that gave the entire HR department an “anxiety attack.” The video was shared on Instagram by a user named Banti Banerjee, with the caption: “Gen Z and unke out of the world, out of office emails.” In the clip, the woman claims, “Guys you will just not believe if I told you this kee mere office main ek Gen Z ne ek aisa out of office email likha aur chhutti par chala gaya. So, he wrote something like this: I am out of radar and out of f***s to give for the next one week, if there is an emergency please time travel to the time when I care. Hasthtag I am on vacay mode chilling with my main character energy.”
She further read out more from the email: “So needless to say that Slack is not slacking, email is not emailing and Zoom is not zooming. So please don’t ping me and kill my vibe. Iss email se poora HR samajh dara hua hai. Bosses ko anxiety attacks aa gaye hain, and millennials saare sadme main hai. Toh please batao yaar, tumhare office main aisa bhi kuch hua hai? And agar ho raha hai toh how are you handling this? This is very out of control.”
The video has since gone viral, garnering a flood of hilarious and heartwarming reactions online. While many netizens laughed it off, others argued that the trend is getting “out of control.” One user wrote, ''This is exactly what is needed.'' Another hilariously remarked, ''Gen Z was born to take revenge on the HR community on behalf of previous generations.''
