It’s quite basic for people with longer work experience to expect a higher salary. That’s how corporate growth, hierarchy and everything else work- in fact.
However, despite it sounding ‘obvious’, not everyone is privileged enough to earn ‘better’- just because of their piling work experience in terms of years. The internet was reminded of the same through a LinkedIn job-posting, which had a rather eye-raising offer for its candidates. Taking it to social media, a man shared a screenshot of the LinkedIn post. As seen in the post, the role was for ‘Customer Support Representative’. Apart from the working hours being ‘10 hours per day’, and ‘6 days per week’- what grabbed the most attention was the pay offered for candidates with ‘3 years of experience’; Rs 2.5 LPA– Rs 20,000 in hand. The post went viral in an instant, leaving netizens triggered. Most called out the company for underpaying its employees, while some pointed out how the role, anyway, couldn't have attained much growth. Times Now could not confirm the details or the authenticity of the post.
