What is the story about?
This is a big year for actor Deepika Padukone. As she sees through her never-ending list of professional commitments, the expectant actor is looking forward
to not only welcoming her second baby with husband Ranveer Singh, but also inching towards commencing a new chapter for their soon-to-be family of four in their dream home, nearing completion in Mumbai's posh Bandra Bandstand locality. However, if one were to zoom back to the years when Padukone actually charted her astronomic rise to stardom, it was her maiden Prabhadevi apartment which served as her sanctuary - a space she has still happily held on to.
Inside Deepika Padukone's Prabhadevi Home
Located on the 26th floor of the Beaumonde Towers in Mumbai's Prabhadevi, Padukone's maiden property investment is a lush 4BHK. Its square footage sits somewhere at 2,776. The actor had purchased the property in 2010, fully moving in by the following year. The space at the time was done up by interior designer Vinita Chaitanya who had described the aesthetic vision as "Deepika in a sari. Modern yet traditional," as per an Architectural Digest India report. The original way the space was done up was in no way beige and understated. It reflected Padukone's high-on-glamour aura from her early years in the industry. The accents were moody - think golden candle holders, a mirrored Milanese dining table and black chairs to pair. There was also a good mix of aesthetics - the AD report elaborates on the four-poster-bed, cojoining a walk-in-closet as big as the master bedroom itself, coupled with a black marble bathroom.
A lot has changed over the years, including Padukone's personal sense of style and taste. While there is not much intel on how much the actor has changed things around in the Prabhadevi residence since the last decade, the original aesthetic of the apartment was fitting of the Deepika Padukone everyone knew back then.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's Property Portfolio
Besides the Prabhadevi property, Padukone has a few more plush investments under her belt in tow with her Dhurandhar hubby Ranveer. The duo have been overseeing the construction of their dream home in Bandstand, Bandra. The luxury residence is reportedly being built across four full floors - 16th to the 19th to be precise - to come together as a quadraplex. Sprawling across a reported square footage of 11,266, the soon-to-be completed residence also apparently has an additional terrace space of 1,330 square feet. As far as the big bucks go, this property is estimated to be anywhere around ₹119 crores.
Not just this, for downtime, the couple also has an Alibaug getaway located in Malegaon village, a mere 10 minutes away from the Kihim Beach. This 5-acre coastal property was purchased back in 2021 and expands over 18,000 square feet of space. This property is reportedly priced at ₹22 crores.
Circling back to Padukone and Singh's Bandra Bandstand dream home, another significant factor about it is that it is just a stone's throw away from Shah Rukh Khan's famed Mannat residence. Khan was not only Padukone's first co-star, helping her launch her illustrious big screen career, but has also been a great source of inspiration to Singh. The expectant parents will reportedly be moving into their new home with daughter Dua, after the arrival of their second baby.
