Bengaluru: Rail passengers travelling between Karnataka’s capital and its northern districts are in for a major upgrade, as the South Western Railway (SWR)
is all set to launch a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Bengaluru and Belagavi. The semi-high-speed train will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 10 August, with regular operations to commence the following day. This addition to the Vande Bharat network is expected to reduce travel time and offer enhanced comfort for passengers commuting between Bengaluru and Belagavi, while also supporting regional connectivity through key cities.
Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat: Inaugural Run on August 10
The inaugural special train (No. 06575) will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 11.15 am on August 10 and reach Belagavi at 8 pm, marking the formal launch of the service.Regular Service From August 11
The regular Vande Bharat service (Train Nos. 26751/26752) will start operating from 11 August, running six days a week (excluding Wednesdays). The train will halt at the following major stations:- Yeshwantpur
- Tumakuru
- Davangere
- Haveri
- Hubballi
- Dharwad
