Delhi Weather Today: As Delhi continues to witness extreme chills amid a cold wave, dense fog has blanketed the national capital. The maximum temperature
is expected to drop to 8 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Foggy mornings led to reduced visibility in the city, with the weather department issuing a "Yellow alert" in the morning. However, the alert has been removed now. According to the IMD forecast for today, moderate fog is likely to remain on Monday, with maximum temperature going till 22 degrees Celsius and minimum to 8 degrees Celsius.
IGI Airport Issues Travel Advisory
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has issued a travel advisory on Monday morning, alerting about the fog update. It further confirmed that all flight operations at the airport are functioning smoothly, despite low visibility caused by dense fog.
"Low visibility procedures are still in progress at Delhi Airport. All flight operations are functioning normally," it stated.
"Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest flight updates," the airport added.

Delhi Weather This Week
Further this week, the IMD has removed all the alerts; however, moderate to dense fog is expected throughout the week. The minimum temperature will remain at 8 degrees Celsius, with people feeling the chills all day, mainly in the mornings and at night.
Delhi Records Season's First Cold Wave
Delhi experienced its first cold wave of the season on Saturday, recording its coldest December day this year as the maximum temperature plunged to 16.9 degrees Celsius.
Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Saturday also warned of worsening weather conditions in the coming days.
