Imagine you are desperately searching for a job, and then finally spot a job posting. You prepare, apply, wait, and then finally get a response, leading
to an interview with the company. However, mid-interview, you get to know that one of the main criteria- years of experience- had a mistake in it— and just like that, the interviewer casually changed the criteria in the middle of the conversation! Unfortunately enough, all of it allegedly did happen with a woman. Taking to social media, the woman shared a ‘disheartening’ interview that she had with a company. As per an X post on the same, the position was for candidates with “0-2 years of experience”. However, in the middle of the conversation, the interviewer stated that the company actually needed someone with “1-3 years of experience”. The woman then pointed out the description that was written on the job posting, only for the interviewer to casually respond with a “might be a mistake.” Taking to social media, the woman called the entire experience “disheartening”. The post went viral and left netizens reacting. Most suggested that the woman name the company and let others know as well, while some chastised the organisation. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Today, I attended an interview for a role that was clearly listed as 0–2 years experience. I even showed them the official career page. But after talking for just 10 minutes, the interviewer suddenly said the requirement was 1–3 years. When I pointed out the listing again, he said it ‘might be a mistake’ It’s honestly disheartening. You prepare, you wait, you walk in with hope & then something like this just shuts the door before you even get a chance,” the post read. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘VTikke’. The post was shared yesterday, and pulled many views from netizens.
