A bizarre sight on the streets of Gwalior recently caught the attention of passersby and social media users alike: a car almost entirely covered in thousands
of lipstick kiss marks. What appeared to be a quirky romantic gesture, however, ended with the vehicleโs owner facing action from the traffic police. The unusual car belonged to Gwalior resident Aditya Sikarwar, whose vehicle reportedly became an instant attraction after its exterior was covered with around 3,400 lipstick prints. Images of the car, with kiss marks spread across its body, went viral online and left many wondering why someone had gone to such lengths to decorate a vehicle. According to claims circulating online, the idea came from Sikarwarโs girlfriend, who was inspired by a foreign social media trend. She decided to recreate the trend on his car, resulting in thousands of lipstick marks being stamped across the vehicleโs exterior. The makeover was reportedly a time-consuming affair. The lipstick prints were made individually, with the entire process taking nearly four hours to complete. Once finished, the heavily decorated car was impossible to miss on the road, attracting curious looks from pedestrians and motorists wherever it went. However, the attention eventually caught the eye of the traffic police as well. After photographs of the vehicle surfaced on social media, authorities reportedly noticed that its registration number was clearly visible in the images. Using the number, traffic police traced the vehicle and seized it. Sikarwar was subsequently called by the authorities and questioned about the unusual appearance of the car. Following the inquiry, traffic police issued him a challan of Rs 5,500 for violating traffic rules, according to an India Today report. The viral makeover thus ended up becoming an expensive romantic gesture for the car owner. Sikarwar reportedly accepted his mistake after the police action.

The lipstick-covered exterior was then cleaned, with the vehicle washed to remove the thousands of kiss marks and restore it to its original appearance.
What began as an attempt to recreate a viral social media trend consequently turned into a traffic violation case - and a Rs 5,500 penalty for the car owner.
