Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday said that alleged question paper leaks in recruitment examinations are not unique to the state but have
become a nationwide issue affecting lakhs of young aspirants. In a post on X, he assured students that his government is committed to addressing their concerns and working towards a long-term solution. His remarks came amid escalating protests by job aspirants over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). The agitation intensified on Wednesday, with five more protesters joining an indefinite hunger strike, demanding action against those responsible for the alleged paper leaks and comprehensive reforms in the recruitment process.
CM Invites Students' Suggestions
The chief minister said that the state government was handling this issue with complete seriousness and several investigating agencies were working round the clock to identify those responsible. He even added that the accused were already being sent to jail.
Soren emphasised that the goal of the government is not limited to conducting investigations but also to provide "concrete solutions" to job aspirants and students who are being affected by the alleged irregularities.
He further added that the doors of the Jharkhand government remain open to everyone and invited students to keep their demands and suggestions with the administration. According to Soren, all concerns raised by the young aspirants will be heard with sincerity.
The protests in Ranchi have gained momentum in recent days, with job aspirants constantly demanding a fair recruitment process, accountability for alleged paper leaks and measures to restore back the confidence in state recruitment examinations.
