New Delhi: As the standoff between the Cockroach Janta Party and the Delhi Police continued at Jantar Mantar, CJP leader Ashutosh Ranka issued a defiant
warning to the government on Tuesday, saying no amount of police action could stop protesters from assembling or prevent Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's eventual resignation. In a post directed at Delhi Police, Ranka wrote: "Do whatever you want to. You cannot stop people from coming to Jantar Mantar. You cannot stop people from having food. You cannot stop people from helping us. Most importantly, you cannot stop Pradhan's resignation. He is going."
Party spokesperson Saurav Das also issued a pointed message to the government, saying it faced a stark choice between engaging with peaceful protesters or continuing to escalate. "Ab aayega aur maza! The government must understand that it can either bomb the peaceful protesters using the tanks it is transporting to Delhi (I mean, what are they trying to do by transporting these? Kill their own children? Is this where we have come in Gandhi’s India?) Or, accept demands," he said, describing the protesters as peaceful and the government's response as disproportionate.
The CJP has been demanding Pradhan's resignation over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination and broader concerns about the education system. The protest has gained significant momentum over the past several days, with Monday's demonstration drawing thousands of students from across the country to Delhi, even as police used force to prevent them from marching to Parliament.
