A protest has erupted in Maharashtra after candidates who appeared for the High Court Clerk recruitment typing skill test alleged technical glitches at an examination
centre, which ended up disrupting their assessment process. Candidates have alleged that they faced multiple computer malfunctions and other technical isues during the typing test, which caused delays and hapmered their performance in the assessment. The Founder of Cockroach Janta Party, Abhijeet Dipke, has now joined the protest. "Online examination for the High Court in Maharashtra has created complete chaos! Several students have been marked as failed due to server issues. At majority of the centres across the state the computers were not even functional," he tweeted. "I have joined the students and will stay here until their demand for a re-examination is met." Candidates are now demanding an immediate solution from the administration. They are also demanding that the recruitment examination be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. Meanwhile, the organisers have stated tha there was only a 'minor problem' which was resolved. “The Bombay High Court exam was scheduled at my centre, and it has already been conducted; the first session is over. Things are moving a bit slowly due to a technical issue with printing, but it is just a minor problem that will be resolved. All the keyboards at our centre are brand new. We have all the necessary facilities available here. As for the students who are creating a commotion, I would simply request them to remain calm," Director, Sornet ITE Genus Private Limited, Sanjay Wankhede told ANI.
As of the latest reports, the sit-in protest outside the APMC Market examination centre was still underway, with candidates waiting for authorities to address their demands.
The Bombay High Court conducts the clerk recruitment exam to select and appoint qualified candidates to fill vacant clerical positions within the judicial system. This exam follows a multi-stage selection process which includes written tests and skill/typing assessments. Candidates have alleged technical disruptions in the typing exam.
