What is the story about?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an apology for the technical glitch that affected candidates appearing for CUET (UG) 2026 in the morning shift
at some examination centres on May 30, 2026. The agency has acknowledged the stress and inconvenience caused to candidates and parents. According to the NTA, 3,765 candidates completed biometric registration and were present at their centres but, unfortunately, could not appear for the examination due to confusion. As a one-time measure, the NTA has decided to conduct a rescheduled examination for the affected candidates. The agency has also stated that the new exam date and other details will be released soon.
