Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his message on Goa Statehood Day, saying the letter had touched the hearts
of people across the state. Sharing his response on social media, Sawant described receiving the Prime Minister's letter as a matter of pride for every Goan. "It is a moment of great honour for me and for every Goan to have received a heartfelt letter from Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on the occasion of Goa Statehood Day," he wrote on X. In his message to the Prime Minister, Sawant said, "Your letter on #GoaStatehoodDay has moved every Goan deeply. In your words, we feel the warmth of a leader who carries Goa in his heart."

Praising the Centre's support for the state, the Chief Minister said Goa had carried forward the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat through the Swayampurna Goa initiative, empowering villages and strengthening last-mile governance.
He further pledged that Goa would continue contributing to the national vision of a developed India, saying, "We will leave no stone unturned in building a Viksit Goa that proudly contributes to your vision of Viksit Bharat 2047."
Sawant also expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister's continued support, stating, "Your blessings are our greatest strength. Goa is, and will always remain, eternally grateful."
On the occasion of Goa Statehood Day, the Chief Minister credited Modi's leadership for accelerating the state's development through major infrastructure and welfare initiatives. He said investments in roads, bridges, healthcare, education and other sectors were strengthening the foundation for long-term economic growth and improving the quality of life for citizens.
According to Sawant, Goa's development trajectory remains closely aligned with the broader national goal of building a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
