A massive fire broke out at a multi-storey building in Model Town Part 2, Delhi, on Friday afternoon, triggering a major firefighting operation in the
area. The fire was reported at around 2:44 pm. As many as 25 fire engines were rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control. The fire has now been brought under control, while cooling operations are currently underway. According to preliminary information, the fire was reported from the Haldiram restaurant. However, it has not yet been confirmed from which part of the building the fire actually started. Visuals from the spot appear to show flames and heavy smoke coming from the topmost floor of the multi-storey building. The exact location and cause of the fire are yet to be ascertained.
