CJP plans next big march
The student protest movement in Delhi is set for a fresh push on September 5, with the Cockroach Janta Party planning a march and the All India Students' Association (AISA) backing the mobilisation over pending cases against students and allegations of police firing during earlier protests.
The proposed September 5 march, which coincides with Teachers' Day, is expected to be led by families of students who died by suicide following the cancellation of the NEET exam and subsequent re-test. Families of those allegedly affected by police action during the July agitation are also expected to participate.
