Newly released US Justice Department records include email exchanges involving Dr Peter Attia, a physician and founder of the preventive health practice
Early Medical, according to documents made public on Friday. Dr Attia is named in the latest tranche of files connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, which were released under federal transparency provisions. The disclosure forms part of a wider release of investigative material related to Epstein and his associates. One document, identified as EFTA02496403, contains a series of emails exchanged between Dr Attia and Epstein. In one message, Dr Attia wrote: "You the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can't tell a soul..." The subject line of the email exchange reads: "Got a fresh shipment". Dr Attia has not issued a public statement in response to the release of the documents. The Justice Department confirmed on Friday that more than three million pages of records, alongside more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, had been made public. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the release during a press briefing. The newly disclosed files name a number of prominent individuals, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Inclusion in the documents does not indicate wrongdoing, and no charges have been brought against those named in connection with the release. Jeffrey Epstein, who was arrested in 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors, died by suicide later that year while in custody.
Reaction to the emails involving Dr Attia appeared on social media following the release. One post on X described the messages as "disgusting", while another said: "What is done in the dark, always comes to light."
In 2025, media reports stated that Epstein had met Dr Attia on multiple occasions.
