Reed Hastings, co-founder and chairman of Netflix, will resign from the company's board of directors in June when his term concludes, as announced by Netflix on Thursday.
Hastings intends to dedicate more time to philanthropic efforts and other interests. He served as Netflix's CEO for over two decades until 2023, following the tenure of fellow co-founder Marc Randolph, who initially held the position in the late 1990s.
