US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (local time) reacted to the student protests in France, blaming what he described as “out of control mass migration”
for the situation. Trump also claimed that the issue was linked to Islam and said it was an attempt to “take over” France. Trump made the remarks in a post on Truth Social as thousands of students, teachers, and others took to the streets over concerns surrounding France’s education system. "What’s happening in France is nothing less than out of control mass migration. This isn’t about schools, this is about Islam wanting to take over a once great Country! President DJT," the US President said in his Truth Social post. France is witnessing its biggest student protest movement in decades, which began at a school north of Paris before spreading to other parts of the country. Hundreds of schools have shut amid the unrest, with over 6,000 people detained by police in recent weeks. Most of those held are minors with no prior criminal history.
