The Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh, has announced that the class 12 (Intermediate) practical examinations for the year 2026 will be held in two
phases. The official notice states that the practical exams will be conducted according to the group districts given below: Phase 1 of UP Board Practical Exams 2026 The first phase will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2026, for multiple districts including Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Devipatan and Basti. Notably, January 29 and 30 are excluded as UP TET and other important examinations are falling on the same dates. A directive has also been issued to announce holidays in secondary schools. Phase 2 of UP Board Practical Exams 2026 The second phase will take place from February 2 to 9, 2026, for districts including Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. Additional Instructions
- Like previous years, Class 10 (Madhyamik) practical examinations will be completed based on internal assessment (project work) at the school level. Principals will have to ascertain that all eligible students appear in the practical examinations after verification.
- Scores of Class 10 practical examinations (internal assessment) and Class 12 subjects like Moral Education, Yoga, Sports and Physical Education will be published online by the school principals at upmsp.edu.in. The facility for uploading marks will remain available from January 10, 2026.
- Pre-board practical examinations for Class 12, scheduled at the school level, will be arranged by school principals in the first week of January 2026.
- Pre-board written exams for both classes 10th and 12, to be administered at the school level, will be organised by the school principals from the third week of January 2026 to February 9, 2026.
Furthermore, any information pertaining to other necessary arrangements for the practical examinations, appointment of examiners, etc., can be obtained from the concerned regional office of the Board.
To maintain exam integrity, principals have to ensure CCTV presence in the exam hall and upload recordings to the Board’s website.
