Due to cold waves, the Meteorological Department has sounded a red alert for many regions, including Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Nagaur. Considering
the harsh weather, schools in Jaipur and Sikar will remain closed until January 14, 2026. In case of any confusion or query, students or parents can directly contact the school administration. As per the media reports, the decision has been taken considering students' safety and welfare, as the dense fog and cold waves are making it harder for them to turn up for physical classes. Earlier, schools in Jaipur were directed to remain shut until January 10, 2026. An extension has now been provided to avoid weather-induced illness. Noida School Holidays Extended! Meanwhile, educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar district have been instructed to remain shut for classes up to the 8th until January 15, 2026. The order applies to all schools affiliated with the CBSE, CISCE, Uttar Pradesh, and other recognised boards in the district. The order has been issued following the directives of District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, ensuring students' safety and welfare. All educational institutions are required to follow the given instructions without fail.
