Kolkata Weather: The city woke up to a cold, foggy winter morning on Tuesday (23 December), with the minimum temperature of the day measuring 16° C, and
a fog mist engulfing the sky in the morning. The sky is expected to remain mainly clear till the next morning, with the fog clearing up as the temperature rises. The overall air quality index (AQI) of Kolkata stood at 206, falling in the ‘poor’ category. The city is set to experience a chilly week as the mercury is predicted to drop to 14° C in the following days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that fog will cover the sky on Wednesday (24 December), but the sky will clear as the temperatures rise during the day. Humidity is predicted to remain at zero throughout the week. From 25 December to 28 December, the sky will remain mainly clear.
