What is the story about?
The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE will conduct the Central Teaching Eligibility Test, CTET 2026 February session on February 8, 2026. Official
admit card release dates are usually announced with the exam notification. However, this time it is expected to be released in early February (7-10 days ahead of exam). Following the pattern, CBSE will release the exam city slip ahead of admit cards. Therefore, it is expected to be released next week on CBSE official website cbse.gov.in. The city slip will have the details of the city in which candidates will have to appear in exam, so that they can make travel arrangements accordingly.
How to check CTET 2026 City Slip or Admit Card
Candidates who have applied for the eligibility test can download the intimation slip online. They can follow the given instructions to learn how:- Step 1: Go to the official website: ctet.nic.in or cbse.gov.in
- Step 2: Click on CTET exam city slip 2026 link or CTET admit card link available
- Step 3: Submit the application number, DOB and security pin
- Step 4: CTET Exam City Feb Intimation Slip will appear on the screen
- Step 5: View and download the same
- Step 6: Keep it safe for exam purposes

CBSE extended the CTET 2026 application deadline after finding that a large number of candidates had not completed their registrations. According to the board, 1,61,127 applications remained incomplete in the system and were not converted into final submissions. As the CTET is being conducted after a gap of nearly one year, CBSE decided to take a sympathetic view and offer a one-time opportunity to affected aspirants. The revised application window was reopened from 11 am on December 27, 2025, and remained open till 11:59 pm on December 30, 2025.
