Delhi News: Delhi saw a slight improvement on Wednesday, with the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) dropping to 329. The weather remained calm, and the morning
was mildly foggy, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, the fog did not significantly affect visibility early in the day, leading to fewer disruptions to flight operations. Some airlines have issued advisories, asking passengers to check their flight status before leaving home.
Delhi AQI Today and GRAP 4
GRAP 4 is in force in Delhi to control severe air pollution. Authorities have stopped construction work and banned the entry of light commercial vehicles from outside Delhi. Schools have shifted to a hybrid mode to protect children’s health, and offices now follow a 50% work-from-home rule. The aim is to reduce outdoor movement unless it is absolutely necessary. Also Read: Delhi Vehicle Ban Sparks Anxiety Among Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram Commuters; Say ‘No Alternative for Us’
Delhi Flight Status
Dense fog has also affected flight operations at Delhi airport. Low visibility forced airlines to cancel 131 flights on Tuesday, including 52 departures and 79 arrivals, an airport official said. Poor visibility across northern India, especially in Delhi, continues to disrupt flight schedules and may cause further delays and cancellations.IndiGo on X, formerly Twitter, said, “As winter sets in, early mornings across Northern India can bring fog that may occasionally slow down flight movements. We wanted to share this gentle heads-up in advance, so you can plan with ease and check your flight status before heading to the airport".
