Imagine you are on a tour to a culturally rich city like Udaipur. You book a hotel, and it turns out to be a decent-looking place with a rather huge window-
a window that immediately raises your curiosity for the view it might be offering. With all the curiosity and excitement, you open the massive window’s curtains– only to get a view that you never saw coming! If you think that the view was too good, think again. Turned out, the window pane had a pleasing poster stuck over it- to block the otherwise not-so-interesting view! Believe it or not, that is exactly what happened with this couple. Taking to social media, the duo shared a video, where one of them was seen opening the curtain quite dramatically, to reveal the poster of a breathtaking lake. The video went viral in an instant, leaving netizens reacting. However, it is important to note that ‘no lake view was promised’ by the hotel, yet the moment went viral over its bizarreness. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “When ‘Lake View’ Was Just a JPG.Tourists Book Lake View Room in Udaipur, Get a Wallpaper Surprise Instead,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram by the handle ‘viralchuski. The post was shared a day ago and pulled more than 161K views from netizens.
Internet’s reactions:
“It's a scam, you should report this on the website so others will not fall for it, ask for a refund as well,” a user said. “At least they provide you with a good view,” commented the next person in the comment section.

“Did you not check the location on google maps to see if there was a real lake adjacent to the property? Did you not check reviews and read their description of the room?” asked the next person.
“WTH! This is not true . No lake view was mentioned by the hotel , I just found it funny and kindly ask before using someone’s content,’ added another person. “Hotel authorities cancel the license. This is a scam. They must mention that the lake view has a poster installed on the window,” added another.
