The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has revised the main examination calendar for Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO)
2023. According to the updated schedule, the exams will now be held on February 2 and 3, 2026. "It is hereby informed that the examination date of the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Main) Examination-2023 has been revised. As per the revised schedule issued under Notification No. 49/04/E-4/R.O./E.O. (Main) Examination-2023/2025-26 dated 12 November 2025, the said examination will be conducted at the examination centre in Lucknow according to the revised program," an English translation of the official notice stated. The UPSC RO and ARO mains on February 2 will be held in two sessions. The forenoon session from 9:30 am to 11:30 am is scheduled for General Studies paper, while the afternoon session, from 2 pm to 4:30 pm, will include two components: section 1 (Conventional, Descriptive), covering General Hindi and Drafting, and section 2 (Objective), focusing on General Vocabulary and Grammar. About UPPSC RO, ARO Prelims Exam & Result
The preliminary examination was held on July 27, and the results were announced on September 16, 2026. A total of 7,509 candidates qualified for the mains. Of these, 6,093 were selected for 338 posts of review officer, 1,386 for 79 posts of assistant review officer, and 30 candidates for two posts of assistant review officer (accounts).
