Kolkata: A Turkish Airlines Kathmandu-Istanbul flight made an emergency landing at Kolkata airport after an issue encountered in one of its engines, on Wednesday.

The Turkish Airlines plane 727 had departed from Kathmandu and was bound for Istanbul. While the plane was in Kolkata's airspace, the pilot observed an issue in one of its engines. The pilot immediately contacted Kolkata ATC and, after receiving clearance, made an emergency landing. A repair work on the aircraft is currently underway, and the passengers are safe and waiting for next directions. More to follow...
