Traffic on the Mumbai-Pune Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway will be diverted for a few hours on April 23 and 24 due to bridge maintenance work, officials
said. According to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, the block will be in place from 12 pm to 3 pm on both days. The work includes removal of shuttering and painting on a bridge near Dongargaon-Kusgaon.
Traffic Changes on April 23
On April 23, traffic heading towards Mumbai will be completely closed during the three-hour block. Vehicles will be diverted via the Kiwale–Dehu Road–Talegaon route, joining National Highway 48 and re-entering the expressway at Kusgaon toll plaza.
Traffic Changes on April 24
On April 24, traffic moving towards Pune will be shut between 12 pm and 3 pm. Vehicles will be diverted from Kusgaon toll plaza via National Highway 48 through the Dehu Road–Kiwale route. The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, also known as the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway, is India’s first access-controlled expressway and is one of the busiest routes in the country.
