The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the Board will reopen the application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test
(CTET) February registration. This decision has been taken after CBSE observed that over 1.61 lakh applications are still incomplete in their online registration system. In a press release published today (December 25), the Board stated that 1,61,127 registrations remained incomplete and were not converted into final applications. Considering that so many applications are still pending, the Board has decided to give aspirants a second chance and reopen the application window. As per the official release, the online registration portal will reopen from 11 am on December 27, and will remain active until 11:59 pm on December 30, 2025. "The online application process for the 21st edition of the CTET Examination started on 27/11/2025, and the last date for submitting the online application was 18/12/2025 (11:59 PM). During this period, a total of 25,30,581 candidates applied successfully, out of which 3,53,218 and 4,14,981 candidates submitted their applications on the second last and the last date, respectively. "Subsequent to the closing of the application window, grievances were received stating that a few candidates were unable to submit their applications. Upon further review, it was found that 1,61,127 registrations remained incomplete and were not converted into fully submitted applications. "Since the present edition of CTET is being conducted after a gap of around one year, the Board has taken a sympathetic view of the matter. It has decided to provide a one-time opportunity to those candidates who had initiated the registration process but could not complete it. "This facility will be available on the portal from 11:00 AM on 27 December 2025 to 11:59 PM on 30 December 2025. Candidates are advised to verify their details carefully and make necessary corrections during the final submission process, as no further opportunity for correction will be provided," the official CBSE notice read. Candidates are advised to verify their particulars and make necessary corrections during the final submission process, as no further opportunity for corrections will be provided. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level eligibility exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching jobs in Classes 1 to 8 in central government schools.
