The White House has launched “Trump TV” on Monday night, just days after President Donald Trump announced a ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House.
The White House shared news of the launch on its official social media account, describing the platform as: “Streaming 24/7. Live at 7PM.” Earlier Monday, the White House teased the launch with multiple clips, including an old television set displaying the message, “Something's coming. Stay tuned.” Another teaser appeared to show an AI-generated video of a satellite truck driving through the White House gates.

According to the White House website's livestream page, “Trump TV: The Essentials Station” is described as a platform where viewers can watch the Trump administration's “biggest moments all in one place.” A livestream of the Trump TV is also availble on White House's YouTube account.
The description says the station will feature “Top videos, major remarks, and must-see highlights” streaming 24/7 and updated in real time.
Trump TV Launch Comes Amid White House Press Fight
The launch comes as the White House faces a legal challenge from CNN, MS NOW and Politico over Trump's decision to bar the outlets from the White House. The three news organizations filed a federal lawsuit Monday, asking a Washington court to restore their White House credentials and block enforcement of the ban while the case proceeds.
The outlets argue that the action violates their First Amendment rights by punishing them over coverage Trump dislikes, as well as their Fifth Amendment due-process rights. “This ban could not be a more direct assault on the First Amendment,” the organizations said in their legal filing.
Trump defended the decision in a Truth Social post, calling “Fake News” a “threat to democracy” after the outlets filed their lawsuit. He also criticized US District Judge Timothy Kelly, who was assigned to the case.
Trump argued that the White House should not have to provide access to outlets he accused of publishing false or defamatory reports based on unnamed sources. “Why should I have to give ‘access’ to such people?” Trump wrote.
He also described the Oval Office as “the most important Office anywhere in the World” and said it should be treated with “Decorum, Respect, and Dignity.”
The Trump TV launch also comes as major television networks have stood with CNN after the administration blocked the network from its scheduled White House pool duties.
ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC said they would not send a replacement crew for CNN. In a joint statement, the networks said: “The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting.”
During Trump's Monday event showcasing the new White House helipad, the networks did not carry the event live. With helicopter noise in the background, Trump's remarks became difficult to hear, and he declined to take questions shouted by reporters before boarding Marine One for his flight to New York.
