New Delhi: Tickets for the 2026 Republic Day parade have been announced by the Ministry of Defence. The much awaited annual parade, which is expected to

draw in thousands of spectators online and offline will take place at New Delhi's Kartavya Path, and celebrations of the occasion will conclude with the Beating Retreat at Vijay Chowk. Ticket sales for the Republic Day Parade on January 26, the Full Dress Rehearsal of Beating Retreat, and the main Beating Retreat ceremony, are now live at the Aamantran website. The ticket sales had been previously announced on Saturday, January 3, through a press release. For those not aware, the Full Dress Rehearsal of Beating Retreat will be held on January 28, followed by the Beating Retreat on January 29. Ticket Pricing Tickets for the Republic Day Parade on January 26 will be sold at Rs 100 and Rs 20. Entry passes for the Full Dress Rehearsal of the Beating Retreat on January 28 will be available at Rs 20, while tickets for the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29 will be priced at Rs 100.

The tickets can be purchased directly from the Aamantran website at www.aamantran.mod.gov.in. Bookings are subjective to daily availability and visitors can avail their tickets from January 05 to January 14 from 9 AM till the quota of the day gets exhausted.

Tickets will also be available at physical counters.

The tickets for all events can be purchased from booths or counters at six locations on the production of original Photo ID Card issued by Central/ or State Government, like:

The same Photo ID Card shall be carried for all the events mentioned above, as per Ministry directives. The six locations of the ticket booths/counters are as follows: Sena Bhawan (Near Gate No 5 inside the boundary wall) Shastri Bhawan (Near Gate No 3 inside the boundary wall) Jantar Mantar (Main Gate-Inside the boundary wall) Parliament House (Reception) Rajiv Chowk Metro Station (D Block, Near Gate No. 3 &4) Kashmere Gate Metro Station (Concourse level, near Gate No.8) Coming to online sales, the booths will be functioning from January 05 to January 14. Individuals can avail the tickets in the forenoon shift, from 10 AM to 1 PM and the afternoon shift, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

What is the Republic Day Parade?

The parade takes place annually on January 26 at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. It commemorates the adoption and enforcement of the Indian Constitution on the date in 1950. The parade marches from the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the Kartavya Path to the India Gate, and from that point to the Red Fort. The unfurling of the national flag by the President of India is followed by a march-past by several regiments of military and paramilitary forces, along with an exhibition of their bands, tableaux, motorcycle exhibits, flypasts and performances.

A beating retreat ceremony signifies the end of the parade.
