What is the story about?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the examination dates for Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM). These exam dates are
specifically for the January 2026 semester. As per the official schedule released by NTA today (January 9), the SWAYAM 16 exam will begin on June 17, and will then be held on June 18, 19, 20 and 21, 2026. The buffer dates are June 22, 23, 2026. These SWAYAM exams will be held in two shifts, i.e. the first shift will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Candidates must apply online only for SWAYAM July 2025 through the official website. Offline applications or multiple submissions will be rejected. Applicants should carefully read the Information Bulletin before applying and use the same email ID for course enrolment and exam registration. Details must match APAAR records, if provided.
The application process has three main steps:
Register online to generate an application number and password.
Complete the form by uploading required documents, selecting courses, exam date, and four mandatory exam centre choices.
Pay the application fee online and download the confirmation page.
SWAYAM will be held for 648 course(s) in Hybrid Mode (Computer-Based Test and Pen & Paper Test). The medium of question paper will be English only, except for the language papers which will be held in the respective language only. There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer in the MCQ sections.
