What is the story about?
As Re-NEET 2026 concludes, aspirants are now looking towards the next step, i.e., the release of provisional answer keys and the opening of the objection
window. If we go by the previous years’ trends, the Re-NEET answer key will likely be issued at least 27-28 days after the exam conclusion. Last year, the exam was held on May 4, 2026, and the NEET UG 2026 answer key was published on June 3, 2026. Take a look at the last three years’ data to predict the expected date.
NEET UG Answer Key 2026: Past Years’ Trends
Check out the official schedules of the NEET UG examination and answer key release:
- NEET 2025: May 4 - June 3 = 30 days gap
- NEET 2024: May 5 - May 29 = 24 days gap
- NEET 2023: May 7 - June 4 = 28 days gap
Average gap: (30 + 24 + 28) ÷ 3 = 27.3 days (around 27–28 days)
In 2026, a re-test is held on June 21, 2026. Therefore, aspirants can expect the provisional answer key around July 18–19, 2026.
Candidates must note that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced the official release date for the Re-NEET answer key 2026. However, the Director General of the testing agency, Abhishek Singh, has indicated an expedited release of results, implying that the provisional answer keys would also be issued earlier.
What After Release of Re-NEET Answer Key 2026?
Following the publication of the NEET UG 2026 answer key, candidates will be allowed to view the tentative key and raise objections if required. Once the challenge window closes, the subject experts will review the challenges posed by the candidates.
If any of them are found to be valid, a revised answer key will be issued, based on which the NEET UG 2026 results will be declared.
Candidates must note that the revised answer key is final and cannot be challenged further.
