Days after calling a nationwide protest, meeting with the government and putting forward their demands, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), have now called
a nationwide candle march on July 26 at 6 PM. All eyes are still on the third round of talks between the CJP delegation and Union Minister JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. After their 2-hour long meeting at Constitution Club in New Delhi on July 24, the CJP said that they presented 3 clear demands with the government, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rs. 1 crore compensation for the bereaved families of the NEET suicide victims and the quashing of all FIRs filed against student protesters at Jantar Mantar. CJP Spokesperson Saurav Das, while briefing media over the meeting, said "the Government has agreed to 2 of our demands in-principle."
