New Delhi: Seven Indian CEOs have been invited to attend Donald Trump's reception at the World Economic Forum, taking place in Davos, Switzerland. The
US President will arrive in Davos on Wednesday and deliver a keynote address. He will later host a reception for which business leaders from across the world have been invited, including 7 Indian CEOs.
The Indian business leaders who have been invited for Trump's reception are Tata Sons chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, Wipro CEO Srini Pallia, Infosys CEO Salil S. Parekh, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv Sanjiv Bajaj, Mahindra Group's Group Chief Executive Anish Shah, and Founder & Co-Chairman of the Jubilant Bhartia Group Hari S. Bhartia.
Donald Trump will be attending the Davos World Economic Forum and meeting European counterparts among others from across the world in the backdrop of his Venezuela operation, his plans to annex Greenland, attack Iran, and levy tariffs on European countries for refusing to his Greenland move, using tariffs as a weapon when dealing with countries.

With respect to India also, the 50 per cent tariffs imposed upon purchasing Russian oil and not giving up to sign a trade deal on the whims and fancies of the US President, it's not yet confirmed whether the Indian CEOs who have been invited would be attending Trump's reception.
However, if Indian CEOs do attend Donald Trump's reception, it's going to be one of the most tracked development that would be taking place in Davos.
Donald Trump will be accompanied by several top US officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

What is World Economic Forum?
The annual meeting of The World Economic Forum attracts corporate executives, academics, philanthropists and media to the Swiss Alps town of Davos for dialogue, debate and deal-making.
The Geneva-based think tank first hosted the event in 1971 with the goal to improve European management.
Beginning Tuesday (today), 850 CEOs and chairs of the world’s top companies are expected to be among 3,000 participants from 130 countries in the Alpine resort through Friday.
Trump’s third visit to Davos as president comes as US allies worry about his ambition to take over Greenland, Latin America grapples with his efforts to seize Venezuela’s oil and business leaders and lawmakers at home express concerns about his hardball tactics toward Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
