IndiGo on Monday said it is set to operate more than 1,800 flights, reconnecting its full network after days of large-scale flight disruptions across the
country. The airline said cancellations have sharply reduced and on-time performance (OTP) has improved to around 90% across the network. In a statement, the carrier said it has "optimised" operations and restored connectivity to all stations it normally flies to. IndiGo operated around 1,650 flights the previous day.
Refunds And Passenger Support
The airline said it has refunded Rs 827 crores so far for cancellations up to December 15 and that remaining refunds are being processed. It added that assistance has been provided to stranded passengers, including over 9,500 hotel rooms and around 10,000 cabs and buses.
Between December 1 and 7, IndiGo said it delivered more than 4,500 bags and expects to complete the remaining deliveries within the next 36 hours.
The airline said it is currently assisting over two lakh customers every day across various support channels.
Cancellations Planned In Advance
According to the airline, all cancellations that appear in today's schedule were executed yesterday, enabling customers to be notified in advance.
"Our on-time performance has improved to 91% across the network," the airline said, adding that it "regrets the disruption" and apologised to passengers.
IndiGo reiterated that its operations remain fully compliant with Flight Duty Time Limit (FDTL) norms and aviation safety requirements. The airline said it continues to work with authorities to restore normal operations.
Passengers have been advised to check flight status on the airline website before heading to the airport and seek refunds through official channels.
