The scenes that unfolded at the heart of the national capital during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest and with the protesters– were seemingly drastically
different from the ones that came forward from cities like Bengaluru, Aizawl and Chandigarh. A wholesome video from Chandigarh is going viral, which showed protesters hailing the police and them even presenting roses to the cops. The Chandigarh police, on the other hand, was seen smiling and happily accepting the flowers. The admirable gesture was to express gratitude towards the cops for their “utmost professionalism and care” towards young protesters. “Thank you Chandigarh Police for supporting peaceful protest with utmost professionalism and care,” the post read. “Peaceful protests, powerful messages, and a supportive police force. Thank you, Chandigarh Police, for keeping the plaza safe for everyone!” the video read. Times Now could not confirm the details of the post. Just a few days ago, it was the Bengaluru and Aizawl police who were being appreciated for their patience with protesters. The CJP protesters are demonstrating in several parts of India, while in Delhi the protests have been going on for over a month at Jantar Mantar. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak. The CJP protesters had also held a ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on Monday, July 20, which was basically a march to the Parliament of India.
