The upcoming BRICS Summit is expected to give the hotel industry a significant demand boost. The industry is witnessing firm demand, higher than normal
during the summit in the national capital. Hotels are stepping up preparations around personalised menus, dietary preferences and service rituals for visiting delegations. Kush Kapoor, CEO, Roseate Hotels and Resorts told Times Now Digital, "we are seeing a clear rise in enquiries around the BRICS Summit in Delhi, from diplomatic and government travellers as well as corporates. At the current pace of bookings, we expect demand to be around 30 to 50 percent higher than normal across Roseate House and The Roseate during the summit period. Things are still evolving, so a lot will depend on how bookings move closer to the dates, but we expect occupancy to stay strong and average room rates to hold firm given the kind of guests travelling for the summit. Much of our preparation has gone into the smaller details. Rooms are being set up well before arrival according to what each guest has asked for. Guests will be received personally when they walk in, and each of them will have a butler for the length of their stay. Our kitchen teams have planned menus around individual tastes and dietary needs, so that a delegate coming back after a long day of meetings can sit down to a meal that feels familiar. Every delegation has its own way of working, and our job is to fit around it and stay out of the way." Industry experts tell Times Now Digital the focus is on culinary and operations associates working in close collaboration with the delegation teams. Preeti Makhija, General Manager, The Leela Palace New Delhi said "hosting distinguished delegations for the upcoming BRICS Summit is an immense honour for The Leela Palace New Delhi and a moment of great pride for all of us. This occasion is an opportunity to present India through the lens of The Leela, where the richness of our heritage, the artistry of our culture and the spirit of contemporary India comes together seamlessly. Our preparations are in full swing, with our culinary and operations associates working in close collaboration with the delegation teams of the visiting countries. Every detail, from bespoke menus highlighting our royal Indian cuisine and international flavours, to individual preferences and service rituals, is being thoughtfully orchestrated to create an experience that is seamless, intuitive and deeply personal. It is a collective effort, brought together with quiet precision and care, to extend the warmth, grace and exceptional hospitality that defines The Leela."
