What is the story about?
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will declare the Grade A (Assistant Manager) preliminary examination results soon. Candidates who appeared
for the Phase 1 exam on January 10 will be able to check their qualifying status through the official website: sebi.gov.in. The SEBI Grade A prelims result 2026 PDF will comprise the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates. Those who qualify in Phase 1 will be eligible to appear for Phase 2, followed by an interview. What are upcoming stages and selection criteria?
After the result announcement, qualified candidates will appear for Phase 2 (detailed and subject-specific exam). Those who clear this stage will be summoned for an interview round. Afterwards, a final merit list will be drafted and published based on the phase 2 marks and interview performance.

The current pre-revised CTC offered to Grade A officers is more than 17 lacs per annum, which includes various benefits like leave fare concession, conveyance expenses, medical expenses, eye refraction, insurance, medical benefits, financial dailies, book grant, briefcase, house cleaning allowance, subsidised lunch facility, staff furnishing scheme, scheme for purchasing computers, scheme for acquiring professional qualifications & certifications, accommodation/housing allowance, gratuity, etc.
Where Will I be Posted?
As per the transfer and placement policy of SEBI, employees may be posted to different departments / offices and assigned work in areas ranging from policy formulation to intermediary registration, inspection, supervision, investigation, adjudication, etc. The job profile of an employee is also dependent upon the stream opted for at the time of recruitment.
Furthermore, while working in SEBI, one can also avail of opportunities to go on deputation to various other domestic regulatory bodies, Government departments, foreign regulatory bodies, multilateral organizations and other organisations relevant to financial market.
