What is the story about?
The Consortium Of National Law Universities (CNLU) has today (December 16) released the official final answer key for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
2026 exam. As per the notification issued by CNLU today, there has been no change in the provisional answer key provided for CLAT 2026 Undergraduate (UG) exam, and thus the provisional answer key released earlier will be treated as the final answer key. "There is no change in the provisional answer key or to any question published on 10th December 2025. Therefore, the provisional answer key published is considered as final. Accordingly, the evaluation of candidates for the CLAT 2026 UG shall be out of 119 marks," the official notification stated.
Changes in CLAT PG Answer Key
The answer for three questions is modified as follows:

Candidates who have exercised the options either C or D for question numbers in row number 1 of the above table will be awarded 1 mark accordingly. The final answer key for the CLAT 2026 PG has been uploaded at the official website, i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2026.
Additionally, CNLU has also constituted a Grievance Redressal Committee under the Chairmanship of Justice Mukeshkumar Rasikbhai Shah, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, to receive and resolve any grievances that candidates may have with respect to CLAT 2026. A separate notification explaining the grievance filing process will be uploaded on the CLAT 2026 website by 12 pm on December 17, 2025.
How Was Answer Key Checked?
The Consortium had constituted a Subject Expert Committee chaired by Prof. Ishwar Bhat, former Vice Chancellor of NUJS Kolkata, to review the objections filed by the UG applicants and another Subject Expert Committee chaired by Prof. Ishwar Bhat, former Vice Chancellor of NUJS Kolkata, to review the objections filed by the PG applicants against the provisional answer key and the questions.

The recommendations of the Subject Expert Committees which reviewed the objections to the questions and answer keys received from the candidates were placed before the Oversight Committee for its decision. The Oversight Committee was chaired by Hon’ble Mr. Justice V. Gopala Gowda, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
