The United Kingdom government is now accepting applications for Chevening Scholarship and Fellowship programmes. Registration is underway and deadline
to apply is October 7, 2025. Students must know that the Chevening Scholarship offers full funding for a one-year master’s degree at any UK university. The Chevening Fellowship is for mid-to-senior level professionals. The fellowships are designed for professionals in fields like leadership, science, journalism, and cyber security. It runs for 8–12 weeks at leading UK institutions and includes lectures, workshops, site visits, and talks with experts. Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, candidates should be an Indian citizen. They should have at least two years of work experience post graduation. Important dates

UP Cabinet Clears Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chevening Scholarship for Higher Studies in UK
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has recently approved the “Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Chevening Uttar Pradesh State Government Scholarship Scheme.” This will open new avenues for meritorious students who wish to pursue their dream of pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom.
The State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay mentioned that the scheme will award scholarships to five outstanding students from the state each year for a one-year master’s programme at reputed UK universities. The initiative will be implemented in collaboration with the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
The scholarship will cover tuition fees, research and exam costs. Along with this, it will cover a generous monthly living allowance, and round-trip economy airfare. The selection process will be merit-based as per the memorandum of understanding signed between the Uttar Pradesh government and the FCDO.
The scheme will begin in the academic year 2025-26 and run for three years, covering 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28. The Uttar Pradesh government will contribute around Rs 23 lakh per student. Rest of the amount will be funded by the UK.
