Washington DC: United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday (March 25) claimed that Iranian negotiators are denying talks due to "fear of being killed
by their own people." Trump also stated that the US is winning the war against Iran. Notably, Iran has reportedly rejected the US peace plan, terming it "unreasonable." "They are negotiating, by the way. They want to make a deal so badly, but they are afraid to say it because they figure they will be killed by their own people. They are also afraid they will be killed by us. There has never been a head of a country that wanted that job less than being the head of Iran…" Trump said, as quoted by news agency ANI, citing Reuters. The US President again claimed that he had settled eight wars. “We settled 8 wars. We are winning another one… Nobody has seen anything like what we are doing in the Middle East with Iran," Trump said. Iran Israel War Live Updates: Speaking at a Republican fundraiser in Washington, Trump justified his move to attack Iran alongside Israel. He said that the US had no choice. but to act against Iran, describing the prospect of a nuclear-armed Tehran as a “cancer” that needed to be removed. "We had no choice. But I thought it was much worse. I thought that the energy prices, oil price would go up higher. I thought the stock market would go somewhat lower but it didn't matter to me it's short-term. What we had to do is get rid of the cancer. We had to cut out the cancer. The cancer was Iran with a nuclear weapon. And we've cut it out now we're going to finish it off," Trump said.
Meanwhile, the White House said that Trump was “prepared to unleash hell" on Iran after the West Asian country rejected the US peace plan.
What Iran's Foreign Minister Said On US Peace Talks?
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday said that Tehran had rejected Washington's proposed peace plan. While speaking to state television, Araghchi said that Tehran is reviewing Washington’s proposal for negotiation but insisted that there is no intention to hold direct talks with the US. Araghchi even accused the US of failing to protect regional states despite its military presence.
He made it clear that the exchange of messages through mediators does not mean negotiations with the US, and there are no talks going on with Washington. "There are no negotiations with Washington, describing US messages via mediators as not constituting talks," Araghchi said.

According to reports, the US has sent a 15-point peace plan to Iran via Pakistan, which has been acting as an intermediary between the two. This plan includes demands for Tehran to abandon its nuclear programme, sanctions relief, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The conflict in the Middle East, which started on February 28, has entered day 27 on Thursday (March 25).
