Surrey: Firing has been reported outside comedian and actor Kapil Sharma's 'Kap's Cafe' in Surrey, Canada. This is the third time in the past few months
that his cafe has been targeted. A video has surfaced showing multiple shots being fired from a pistol at night, aimed towards Kapil Sharma's cafe in Surrey. A social media post purportedly by Goldy Dhillon has claimed responsibility for the firing. Goldy Dhillon is an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bishnoi and all his gang members have recently been designated as a foreign terrorist organisation. India raised the matter of the Bishnoi gang at the NSA level with the Canadian Foreign Minister during her recent visit to India. In the social media post, a person named Kulvir Sidhu claimed that he and Goldy Dhillon take responsibility for the third firing at Kap’s Cafe, but said it has nothing to do with common people. They are targeting those involved in illegal activities (2 Number Ka Kaam) and those who don’t pay people after their work is done. Kulvir Sidhu further warned and threatened Bollywood for speaking against religions, saying they should be prepared as shots could be fired at any time. Earlier in August, shots were fired at Kap’s Café, the Canadian restaurant owned by Kapil Sharma. It was the second such attack on the establishment in Surrey in less than a month. At least six bullet holes were found in the shattered windows of the café, located at the intersection of 85 Avenue and Scott Road. The restaurant suffered visible damage in the shooting. Gangster Goldy Dhillon had claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. Issuing a statement, the Surrey Police Service (SPS) said that they were investigating the incident and that none of the staff on premises were injured. "Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating a shots fired incident at a Newton neighbourhood business that occurred early this morning. This is the second incident at this location in the last month. At approximately 4:40 am on August 7, 2025, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired outside a business in the 8400 block of 120 Street. The same business was the location of a similar incident on July 10, 2025. Numerous SPS police resources and Delta Police Department units responded and while it appears multiple shots caused damage to the windows and building," it said. Prior to that, it was on July 9-10 when gangsters targeted Kapil Sharma's cafe whose responsibility was claimed by Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi. In a social media post, Laddi had claimed that certain remarks were passed against Nihang Sikhs on Sharma's show, which he saw as a "mockery" of the religious sentiments of the community. At least nine shots had been fired in the July attack.
