As Re-NEET UG 2026 draws closer, medical aspirants from across the country have begun planning their travel and accommodation to reach their examination
centres on time on June 21, 2026. Several state governments have announced free bus facilities for reappearing candidates to ensure that no one struggles to reach their test centre. The decision has been taken in light of the additional financial burden faced by aspirants and their families. With this move, the administrations aim to alleviate their hardships to some extent. Here is the list of states that have facilitated free bus services, along with several other arrangements for Re-NEET aspirants:
Punjab
The Punjab government has made bus travel free for all Re-NEET candidates. The Bhagwant Mann-led government informed that students will they can avail of the free bus rides on June 20, 21 and 22, 2026. Notably, the candidates will have to show their admit card to board the bus.
"Many poor children take the NEET paper. They don't even have money for the fare to go to the centre. Just now, when Mr Kejriwal spoke with the NEET children, the children demanded help. The NEET paper is on June 21. So, the Punjab government has decided that on June 20, 21, and 22, the fare will be waived for all children going to take the NEET exam on all Punjab Roadways buses. Show your admit card, and you won't have to pay for the ticket," Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab, tweeted on his official 'X' account.
Haryana
Soon after the Punjab government’s exemplary move, the Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, declared that all candidates appearing for Re-NEET can travel in the government buses without any fare on June 20 and 21, 2026. The decision was taken to ensure that no student faces inconvenience while reaching their test centres.
Like in Punjab, the Re-NEET candidates will have to present their admit cards to board the bus free of cost.
Bihar
Bihar CM had also joined these states to extend his support to the distressed students appearing for NEET twice in a year. Besides free bus travel, he requested the district administration, all monasteries and temples of the state, and non-governmental organisations to extend cooperation in arranging drinking water, sattu, etc., for examinees and their parents at bus stands, railway stations, and other major locations.
Delhi
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had also announced free bus travel for candidates appearing for the Re-NEET UG 2026 scheduled for June 21, 2026. She informed that the candidates can avail of free travel on all DTC buses on the exam day by showing a valid admit card.
"No student should face inconvenience on a day that holds such importance for their future," CM Rekha Gupta said while extending her best wishes to the NEET aspirants.
Odisha
The Odisha government has also made bus travel free for Re-NEET candidates, in view of the scorching heat, which may adversely affect the health of students appearing for the re-test on June 21, 2026. They will have to present their admit cards to board the bus.
The official notification reads, "In order to reduce risk of heatstroke, Support to Economically Weaker Students and Ensuring Equitable Access to Examination Centres, Hon'ble Chief Minister has been pleased to provide free Bus Travel for the aspirants appearing for the NEET (UG) Re-exam-2026 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026, in 134 examination centres across Odisha (Copy enclosed) on production of a valid Admit Card of the Exam."
Uttarakhand
The Uttarakhand government recently joined the noble cause, proclaiming free travel in State Transport Corporation buses for permanent residents of the state appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21.
The Pushkar Singh Dhami-led government in UK stated that the aspirants can travel freely in ordinary-category buses from two days before the exam until the exam date by showing their NEET UG 2026 hall tickets.
