In a significant announcement for commuters, the Central Railway (CR) has implemented a major block affecting local and long-distance train services in Mumbai.
This maintenance initiative, which commenced on September 26, is set to continue until October 10, 2023. The decision aims to enhance infrastructure and ensure the safety of passengers, with various key upgrades scheduled during this period. Dr. Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, confirmed that the planned work involves critical maintenance tasks, including the installation of new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) girders at Byculla and Sion stations.
