As people started coming into the city after celebrating Diwali and other festivals in their hometowns, Bengaluru is once again crowded with heavy vehicular
movements at key roads, including Indiranagar, MG Road and Outer Ring Road. The streets of India’s IT hub are again witnessing congested roads, heavy traffic and slow-moving vehicles. Some of the areas witnessed light traffic over the past week as people left the city to celebrate festivals; however, those same roads are now jammed with heavy traffic. These roads include Outer Ring Road (ORR), Koramangala, MG Road and Indiranagar. The traffic police have advised the commuters in Bengaluru to plan their travel carefully as several key routes are witnessing traffic slowdowns.
Key Bengaluru roads to avoid
Old Madras Road (OM Road)
At Old Madras Road, the vehicular movement is slow due to heavy congestion. The traffic police advised people to anticipate delays and consider taking alternative routes.
Mahadevapura to Marathahalli
At the Mahadevapura to Marathahalli stretch, the traffic is moving slowly due to the ongoing metro construction work at Karthik Nagar. The commuters have been advised to take extra time on hand.
Tinfactory
The Tinfactory area is witnessing heavy traffic, resulting in slower-than-usual commutes for motorists passing through.

'11 km covered in 15 minutes'
Recently, in a video shared on X, a woman showed that she completed her “11km” auto ride in just “15 minutes”. As per the woman, such an ‘easy traffic’ in a city like Bengaluru is a result of the "entire Bengaluru” being “out of Bengaluru due toDiwali”.
The post went viral in an instant, with netizens reacting in all kinds of ways. Most dubbed Bangalore a ‘city of migrants’, while some called the city much more ‘peaceful’, due to it being less crowded. The internet is witnessing more such instances and videos, where people are finding Bengaluru streets and traffic less intense.
