An Indian citizen was among 12 people killed in the latest Russia strikes on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday. In a social media
post, Zelenskyy said since Monday evening, guided aerial bomb and drone strikes have continued against Odesa and the region. “Overall, 12 people were killed, including an Indian citizen, and dozens more were wounded as a result of the attack. My condolences to everyone who has lost loved ones and those close to them,” Zelenskyy said. Meanwhile, nearly 350 rescuers have been deployed in Kyiv after the Russian attack. On Monday night, Russia launched another overnight attack on Kyiv. Several large explosions were heard across the city. According to reports, one blast was strong enough to trigger car alarms, while the sound of air-defence interceptors could also be heard. The latest attack followed a fifth consecutive day of near-continuous Russian drone attacks on Kyiv. "In Kyiv, a strike on a railway depot killed seven people. Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts were also under fire,” the Ukrainian President said. Meanwhile, four people were killed in Boryspil due to the Russian attack. “A significant number of jet drones and ballistic missiles were involved in the strike. Unfortunately, there is damage to residential and civilian infrastructure. In Boryspil, a standard five-story apartment building was damaged. Fifty people were evacuated. Emergency services are on site. There were also strikes on businesses. Overall in the city, four people were killed and 13 injured,” he stated.
