The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants’ (CA) Intermediate examination schedule. The Auditing and
Ethics paper, which was scheduled for January 19, has been deferred. A new date will be announced soon on the official website: icai.org. The official notice reads, "In partial modification of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/JANUARY/2026 dated 23rd September 2025 read with Important Announcement dated 27th December 2025 it is announced for general information that due to certain unavoidable circumstances the Chartered Accountant Intermediate Examination, Group II, Paper – 5, Auditing and Ethics scheduled to be held on 19th January 2026 (Monday) stands postponed across India and abroad." Revised date shall be announced in due course. Notably, the remaining exam dates shall remain unchanged. According to the official schedule, ICAI will start the application process on March 3, 2026. Candidates will have until March 16, 2026 to submit their applications without a late fee. Applicants will have to pay an application fee of Rs 600 or US $10 until March 19, 2026.
The CA Inter May group 1 exams are scheduled on May 3, 5, and 7, 2026, while the group 2 exams will take place on May 9, 11, and 13, 2026.
