of its popular models, which are the Amaze, City and Elevate, will increase from January 26, 2026. The company has not revealed the exact amount of the price hike, but it has confirmed that the increase will apply across its passenger vehicle range. According to Honda, the decision has been taken due to rising input and operational costs. Simply put, things like raw materials, logistics, manufacturing and overall business expenses have become more expensive. Interestingly, this announcement could also create a short-term opportunity for buyers. Dealers may offer discounts or benefits on remaining 2025 stock before the new prices come into effect. Honda Amaze The Honda Amaze is the brand’s most affordable offering in India and a popular choice for first-time car buyers. It is currently priced between Rs 7.41 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic, making it suitable for both city driving and daily commuting. Honda City The Honda City has long been one of India’s most trusted and well-loved sedans. Prices currently start at Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine that delivers 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The City is available with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic and is known for its comfort, smooth performance and premium feel. Honda Elevate Honda’s newest SUV, the Elevate, has quickly gained attention in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. It is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16.67 lakh (ex-showroom). The Elevate shares its 1.5-litre petrol engine and gearbox options with the City, offering a familiar and reliable driving experience in a more rugged, SUV-style body. Honda City Hybrid At the top of Honda’s lineup sits the City Hybrid, priced at Rs 19.48 lakh (ex-showroom). It remains Honda’s most fuel-efficient and technologically advanced model in India.
