What is the story about?
New bookings for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440, which went on sale earlier last month, have been temporarily paused in India. This is because the motorcycle
has attracted strong demand, contrary to initial expectations. The current production allocation is reportedly already booked out for nearly six months. Priced at an introductory Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the Himalayan 440 can be had in multiple colours, including Sela Black, Mustang Brown and Nelong White. The 440 sits alongside the Himalayan 450 in the ADV range and is considered a lower-priced alternative with a simpler mechanical setup compared to its sibling.
