BMW Motorrad seems to be foraying into the fully faired 450cc sportbike segment as the automaker has teased a new motorcycle ahead of its debut on October
15, 2026. There is no official confirmation as of now, but the upcoming bike is speculated to be the BMW F 450 RR, with a sportier look and riding proposition in BMW's entry-level performance segment. BMW has not disclosed the RR’s design, specifications, or features. The possible bike is said to follow the F 450 R roadster and F 450 GS adventure bike in the range. Here's all you can expect from the sportier BMW F 450 RR.
BMW F 450 RR Teased: Design
As seen in the teaser, the bike's shadowy silhouette is visible. There are no clear details on the design. That said, we can make out from the image that the bike has a conventional sportbike stance, with a front fairing, alongside a raised windscreen. The expected BMW F 450 RR could borrow design elements from the bigger RR models, particularly in its overall design and aerodynamic approach. More exact details will be revealed at the official unveiling on October 15, 2026.
BMW F 450 RR: Engine
The BMW F 450 RR will likely utilise the same 420cc, parallel-twin engine that currently does duty on the F 450 GS and F 450 R. The liquid-cooled unit produces 48hp of maximum power and 43Nm of peak torque in the
F 450 R which recently made its debut. It comes with a six-speed gearbox. There's no official confirmation, but we expect the F 450 RR to have the same setup, although its final power output could differ from its naked sibling. More confirmed specifications about the suspension, braking hardware, electronic rider aids, and instrument console are expected at the official reveal.
BMW F 450 RR: Will It Come To India?
BMW Motorrad hasn't shared any information about the India launch of the new teased bike. However, the expected F 450 RR could eventually join the brand's Indian range and establish itself as a strong, premium, twin-cylinder sportbike option.
