Maruti Suzuki has hit global safety milestone with its brand-new Victoris model, which has scored five stars for both adult and child occupant protection
in Global NCAP’s crash safety tests. This achievement makes the Victoris the second Maruti model to achieve the top rating, after the Dzire’s five-star score at the end of 2024. The Victoris was voluntarily tested under Global NCAP’s new, tougher safety protocols and interestingly it passed with high score. Richard Woods, Chief Executive Officer of Global NCAP, praised this achievement, saying, “The five star Victoris clearly demonstrates Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to improved safety for its new models. It continues the trend set by the Dzire launched last year which also achieved five stars. The result is a significant vehicle safety victory for motoring consumers in India.” Also Read: Maruti Fronx Hybrid Spotted Testing In India With LIDAR Sensors: What's Cooking? So the Victoris is special as the car comes packed with modern safety features such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection as standard, and even optional ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). It also has three-point seatbelts for all passengers, ISOFIX anchors for child seats, and i-Size anchorages to make it more child-friendly. During crash tests, the Victoris showed stable structure and foot space, with good protection for all body regions of adult passengers in front and side impacts. Even the tough pole test showed full head protection. For kids, the results were impressive too, as both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies in rearward-facing seats received full body protection. With its stylish design, feature-loaded cabin, and now a global safety record, the Victoris shows that Maruti Suzuki is getting more serious about safety while keeping cars practical and family oriented.
